Formula Honda - Web design and development



When the Chateau Moteur Group of companies chose Empress Creative to design a series of websites, we were excited to work with such well known brands as Honda and Mercedes Benz. The first of the websites for the group, the Formula Honda site needed to have broad appeal whilst still targeting a younger market. The site needed a method of easily maintaining stock to ensure that the website remains current. In addition, the website needed, a gallery for pre-owned vehicles, a web application for registrations of interest and the ability for the staff at Formula Honda to mange content.



The site was designed with a “red goes faster” feel in mind, and using some slick photography and a red colour palette, the sleek personality of the site began to take shape.

Functionality was a key consideration in the development of the back end of the site, with the development of an advanced content management system, the loading of stock control data, and a gallery-style search facility for the vehicles. An SMS application was developed to enable a speedy response to inquiries online by the sales team.



The website design has a sleek modern look that appeals to the target market. With fast loading pages and a sophisticated 'light-box' effect, the online gallery for new and pre-owned vehicles both a visual experience and a breeze to navigate.

The website is kept current via, uploading of stock control data and imagery, and the advanced content management system. The sales team now has the ability to quickly respond to sales inquiries via the SMS system.
